Seat Frames:
Manufactured in the UK, our steel frames are welded by hand for strength and durability.
RS1 seat frames are bottom mounted and will normally fit on the existing seat runners, however fitting plates can also be used.
RS4, RS5 and RS9 are side mounted and will need a fitting plate (see our how to video's).
All seats can be fitted with side buckles and crotch straps for a 3 point harness. RS5 and RS9 can be fitted with headrest buckles for use with a 5 point harness.
RS1
Typical bucket seat with detachable headrest. Perfectly suited to fit most classic cars. Some of our installations include, Triumph, MG, Healey, early Ford and Mini's and so many more.
RS4
Bucket style seat with detachable headrest as used from the 60s onwards.
This seat is renowned for excellent comfort and is extensively used for long distance events and touring
RS5
Ideal for any classic race car with a full roll cage. It is also perfect for road trips, long distance events and rallying.
RS9
Our thoroughbred race seat. Perfect hold and safety for your race prepared Classic Cars
This seat is renowned for excellent comfort and is wonderfully comfortable for long distance events, touring, fast road cars and full race prepared.
Foam & Support
We have worked closely with our suppliers to create the perfect foam combinations in shapes and density to ensure long lasting comfort.
Should you require a firm feel for your track days or sink back comfort for your long distance road trips, we can build this into your seat.
The rear squab and seat cushion are supported by manmade webbing, depending on your comfort requirements this can be tensioned to suit your needs.
For the ultimate bespoke adjustment, we can fit an adjustable lumbar support and a heat pad for those chilly morning runs.
Cover Materials
We pride ourselves in the quality of our seats. One of the most important aspects is the quality and longevity of the seat cover material.
Our UK material suppliers offer a full range of leather, vinyl and fabrics. Vintage colours can be matched or modern colours and fabrics can compliment the colour scheme or style of your car. We are able to offer sample materials and threads if required to ensure your choice is exactly what you are looking for.
Cover Designs
During our design process we will take you through the list of options. From french seams to top stitching, double diamonds to tuck and roll. Piping to racing panels and anything you can imagine.
Contrasting panels, contrasting stitching, forward facing leather, hard wearing fabrics for the racer. Waterproof fabrics for the top down regardless of the weather driver or classic one colour for the purist.
We have sample seats for you to view at our premises and many sample panels for you to look at and feel to ensure you make the right choice.
Ridgard Classic Seats are bespoke and made to order. We stock frames, foam and supports. However, the covers are individually made to your requirements. We will discuss potential delivery dates once we have spoken to our suppliers in respect of cover materials
Seat Fitting
Self Installation
Ridgard Classic Seats can fit on your original runners or be fixed in one place for driver comfort. This is acheived by bolting a set of seat mounts onto the Ridgard seat frame, and then the mounting bracket to the original floor fixings. There are a number of seat mounts that can be used on the market and we are only too pleased to discuss this further with you.

We can show you samples of fabrics, samples of stitching and take the time to make sure you get the seats of your dreams.
